What I love about the South

After having lived 21 years in the mountains of North Carolina, my husband and I relocated to Southern California for 3 years prior to trekking back across the country to good ol' South Carolina. If you think moving from the south to the west coast is a culture shock, try moving back. I was never what you would consider a Southern Belle. People didn't believe me when I said I had lived there all my life because I didn't have a southern drawl. When I moved to CA, I left all things Southern behind and embraced my new existence. After being back for 6 months I have reacquainted myself with some of the wonderfully southern things, and rolled my eyes in disbelief at even more wonderfully southern things.
