I am the very proud aunt of a beautiful baby girl named Rebbekah. She was born Thursday night and weighed 9 lbs and was 20 inches long. She is just precious. Mom and baby are doing great and went home today (I think, I haven't heard for sure).
The sister that gave birth is my mother's daughter from her second marriage. We weren't raised together but have grown closer and I couldn't be happier for her and her boyfriend (fiancee? - seriously, she has no interest in being married, maybe one day and he's a great guy so they might as well be married, but whatever.). I was able to go visit yesterday as they live 2.5 hours away and since Chris is gone I couldn't stay too long because of Domino Dog. I was there all day long though and could just gobble her up whole.
I promise pictures as soon as I get them (Chris also had the camera) and get permission to share.
She's beautiful and is able to melt hearts with a single glance. Consider yourself warned.

Hooray! New baby! They are so much fun.
And often better when they're not yours, because you can hand them back to mommy when they're crying/poopy/anything unpleasant.
