My newest philosophies on life:
As we get older it isn’t that we can’t "hang" anymore, it’s that we are much better at the recovery in that we do it in one day. We rush that recovery and micro-manage it and make it happen so that we can focus on our careers come Monday morning. When we were younger Mondays were mostly a day to survive - and I know that I had a job that I could get through without needing too much brain power (if it required it, it waited until Tuesday) there was always that groggy Monday hangover from the hangover because on Sunday? There were picnics, or shopping, or something other than being crashed on the couch. Yeah, it hurts a little more and takes an entire day - but Monday? We’re ready to rock and roll again.
It’s easier to live and let live than it is to get your panties all in a wad over simple human error. The world is not out to get you and screw you and make you mad. I promise.
People are stupid. OK, this one isn’t new, just renewed.
Things about this week that suck:
Chris doesn’t get to travel with me tomorrow because of school.
I have to drive the rental car to my brother’s graduation. 3.5 hours away
My sock knitting isn’t done and I’m bored with it.
This morning Domino Dog spent 10 minutes eating grass and not peeing. 2 hours later he had peed in the house and puked up a pile of grass.
Things about this week that rock:
My little brother is graduating highschool! I’m very proud of him.
Because of travel I get to take 1.5 days off and hang a little with the fam.
Chris found the pee and grass and had to clean it up.
Work is pretty light so it’s been easy - normal length days.
Maybe I’ll get some time this weekend to knit the heel of my sock and finish it up!
There, now I’m not so listless!

My little brother just graduated as well.
And, hooray for Chris having to clean up the dog mess! If I never have to do that again in my life, it'll be too soon.
I have one and a half socks. I don't think the other half is going to get done any time soon...
