Memories of Meeky Mouse
We woke at 1AM and were on the road by 2 AM the first day We opened the park and the first encounter my 1 week shy of turning three year old had of the infamous Mickey Mouse was from 30 feet away (they now have lines that you need to wait in to greet the characters). We met everyone, Mickey, Minnie, Donald Duck, Chip and Dale, the Winnie the Pooh crew, and Pluto... poor poor Pluto, the little one tackled him and Pluto fell to his back. My husband and I were kids again, running around, trying on funny hats, jumping and singing, and generally acting insane. (side note, we are always like this) So we went on all the rides, and saw all there is to see. We made sure our little boy got to see everything. Including Daddy spinning Mommy way too fast one way, then way too fast the other way on the Tea Cups. We were backed up in It's a Small world for about 15 minutes and we lost brain cells, seriously, it's very sad. I ripped the hair out of my husbands leg on the Tower of Terror, while he laughed on the ride. We spent way too much money, and gained way too many pounds for constantly walking, but still I am ready to go back this second. To see the excitement in my sons eyes at everything that is around him, and to truly be in the "Happiest Place on Earth" is the greatest feeling you will ever experience.
-Note from Katrina - I totally would love to see the Tea Cups of terror that were described at dinner Saturday!
