Lost

"Can you hand me the remote?"

"I don't know where it is."

"It's right there on your nightstand."

"Oh I couldn't find it."

"You couldn't find it? Where did you look? It's not like it was hiding."

"The last place I remembered having it was in my hand. I looked there and it wasn't there so I figured it was lost."
